Rogue Media Solutions exists for one reason:
to help small businesses get seen, trusted, and chosen — without the stress, confusion, or high agency costs.
I’m Richard Martin, the founder of RMS. I’m a veteran, a husband, a dad, and a long-time Southern Oregon local who has seen firsthand how much our communities depend on the small businesses that hold this region together.
Most businesses in Grants Pass and the Rogue Valley don’t have the time, budget, or tech knowledge to build a website that actually works. And most agencies either charge too much, overcomplicate things, or lock people into platforms they don’t own.
So I built something different.
My Story — And Why RMS Exists
For years, I watched friends, small business owners, churches, and tradespeople in Josephine County struggle online. They were doing everything right offline — great work, great reputation — but online? They were invisible.
I kept seeing the same problems:

Within the first two months, the Next Step Electrical Solutions homepage is averaging page-one positions for high-intent local searches such as residential electrician and electrician near me. Over the last 28 days, the page generated 2,800+ impressions on competitive electrician queries, confirming that Google has indexed, understood, and is actively testing the site in local results.
This momentum was achieved without paid ads or shortcuts. RMS implemented a clean WordPress build, entity-based schema, proper indexing, and tight Google Business Profile alignment from day one. The result is early visibility that compounds instead of resetting, which is how sustainable local rankings are built.

RMS is now in the process of establishing and cleaning up that digital footprint so search visibility can support existing reputation rather than replace it.
The work focuses on building a clear foundation: service-aligned pages, proper indexing, entity-based schema, and consistent local signals across the website and listings. This approach allows Google to understand and surface a trusted local business that already exists offline, creating sustainable visibility without disrupting what already works.

Valley Inspections & Pests previously relied on a service-based, cookie-cutter platform with a generic template, no personalized photos, and limited control over structure or trust signals. In addition, the business was operating with a suspended Google Business Profile, effectively cutting off local discovery.
RMS rebuilt the website on WordPress to reflect the actual business, services, and service area, then successfully restored and realigned the Google Business Profile with the site. By pairing a real local website with a compliant, active GBP, Valley Inspections & Pests now has a stable foundation for visibility, credibility, and long-term local search growth.

About the Founder
Rogue Media Solutions began with frustration — broken websites, clunky menus, and slow pages all over Richard Martin’s hometown in Southern Oregon. After working as a respiratory therapist in New York during the pandemic, Richard saw firsthand how powerful clear communication and effective online systems could be. When he returned home, he realized Oregon’s local marketing scene lacked that same precision, reliability, and heart.
A U.S. Navy veteran and lifelong learner, Richard built RMS on a foundation of service, integrity, and education. His MBA in Marketing and Accounting, Master’s in Adult Education, and Google certifications allow him to translate complex digital strategies into clear, practical solutions small business owners can actually use.
Richard’s values are simple: no hidden fees, true ownership, and ease for every client. He approaches each project as both a patient mentor and an analytical problem solver, helping business owners understand not only what works online, but why it works. At Rogue Media Solutions, trust runs both ways — Richard works hard to earn it, and he expects it in return.

Rogue Media Solutions is more than a business — it’s a family story. Richard and his wife, Rachel, have been married for over 16 years and are raising three children in the Rogue Valley. Through every high and low, his family has stood beside him, offering support, perspective, and purpose. When mental health challenges tested his direction, their encouragement helped him refocus and build something meaningful.
Rachel’s background in Human Resources and more than 20 years of customer service bring warmth and perspective to RMS’s client-first approach. Together, the Martins live by the belief “family first and autonomy in life.” Those same values shape the company’s culture of independence, transparency, and genuine care for every local client.
As a family, they shop local, support neighbors, and aim to be positive influences in their community. Their shared goal is simple: to build trust, local pride, and authenticity in everything they do — both at home and in business.
